18 WATTER
|
My take on the 18-watter. It uses a Heyboer/Radio Spares output transformer. It departs from the standard 18-watter in that I chose to use a choke in the power supply. Chokes are bomb! They give great organics to the notes/chords. Do you like "Swirl"? This has got it. You'd swear there was a phase pedal built in. Tube complement: 1-6CA4, 2-6BQ5/EL84, 2-12AX7. 8 ohms only. Front controls are: Single-Input, Volume & tonal balance. Power switch & standby. Hardwood Mesquite case with "au natural" face plate. $1,400. See the review in Vintage Guitar Magazine. |
