NOS BUD
|
I bought this NOS Bud chassis off of Ebay. It was made in the 40-50's by the Art-Deco look of it. I thought it would make a grand guitar amp. It's 40 watts. Tube complement: 1-5AR4, 2-EL34, 2-6SN7. It is choke filtered. PLUS it uses Solen capacitors throughout the power supply section (very expensive)! Solen's are very "fast" & KLEAN as far as capacitors go. This amp is on the "Hi-Fi" side. It is fan-cooled using a 220v fan for slower-running and quiet operation. The preamp tube filaments are highly filtered DC. It uses Baxandall tone controls (highly effective). It also has an internal balance pot for the phase-inverter. 3-way impedence selector switch (4, 8, & 16 ohms). $1,700. |
